This cultivar is highly valued for its structural, architectural form and ease of care. Unlike vining types, the 'Green Congo' grows in a dense, outward-spreading rosette pattern. Its smooth, spade-shaped leaves emerge as a bright lime green before maturing into a rich, dark emerald. It is an exceptionally hardy plant that adapts well to various indoor lighting conditions, though it performs best in bright, indirect light. Its thick foliage makes it quite drought-tolerant, requiring water only when the top half of the soil has dried out.
